Painting and Planes

For all of our siblings and friends who aren't blessed with little boys to entertain all day, here is an example answer to the oft asked question, "So, what do you do all day?"...

We take field trips.

This particular outing was to the OSU airport and the boys LOVED it. Since poor RB wasn't able to go, he had to settle for constructing paper airplanes for them in the morning and watching them enjoy his handiwork (which they did immensely).

Trips are always more fun with friends.

Calvin and Carter inside a plane... did I mention that Calvin's imagination can be pretty intense sometimes?Noah, his usual laid back self, and Griffin taking their turn.

And on days whe I'd rather stay inside, we find some constructive way to make a mess...
Luckily, little boys are pretty easy to please. All they require is something big, fast, noisy, or messy and lots of snacks.

Amen. . .the messier the better for my little guys. I think our record is 4 baths in one day due to finger paint (which turned into body paint), mud fight, dinner, and sneaking BACK outside into the mud (that one made me REALLY happy!!).

You are a brave woman! I have NEVER broken out the finger paints--does that make me a bad mother?

Wow!! What a cool mom are you!! We love the finger painting, we do it in dads old teeshirts, and then just hang them outside to dry, turns out for a little less cleaning for me.

Wow, you guys have been busy. I love the picture of your boys hugging. That's so sweet! And finger paints...I'll have to try that...now that's it's warm enough to actually do things outside...we may have to contend with tornados though, but wouldn't that add to the whole artistic flare :)

Amen! I think my boys would be perfectly happy to play in the mud and sand all day. Throw in a few sticks and rocks and they're good! Of course, they would have to take 10-15 brakes to eat a snack!

You are such a fun mom. I like the idea of finger painting outside in undies. We are going to try that one.
I hope everything is going well. Without Nina around, I'm not getting as many updates on you.
