Day at the beach

On our latest jaunt to Florida, we managed to spend a few sunny hours, in between rain storms, at the beach. It was lovely.

Of course, Noah managed to fall asleep right before we arrived. RB and Grandpa's boogie board idea would've been perfect if it wasn't high tide. Luckily, someone spotted the gently floating Noah before he could go very far. He soon woke up and was very confused at this strange, wet place.

It only took him a few minutes to get used to it.

Calvin, on the other hand, wasted no time and got straight to work. I smiled to see Grandpa towing him around on the boogie board. When I was little, that was always my favorite thing to do at the beach.

(Grammy doctored up this cool little photo of the boys)

Along with Grandpa and Grammy were Uncle Kevy, Aunt Nellie, and the boys' newest best friend, Blake. (Uncle Trevor decided to ditch the family and go to some lame lacrosse camp.)

The only setbacks we encountered were a large shark spotted too close to shore and, worse than that, sandy diapers.

(Since RB is always the one taking pictures, he rarely gets in any. So here is my one token shot of him- never mind that it's out of focus and off centered.)

Looks like a fun trip. I actually miss the beach. I remember many trips with you guys...but it's funny, the thing that comes to mind first is crunchy (sandy) sandwiches! With all of us cousins we always managed to get sand in the food! It's fun to see Nellie in the picture!
Love you guys! Lisa

Wow you know how to do the beach up right. I've come to the conclusion I can only go with Matt, it is to hard by myself. You look great!

Don't worry, off-center is artistic when it comes to photography. :)

Love the photos of Noah adrift on the boogie board.

It was so good to see you all while you were here. Your boys are so darling. Ya'll always have the best pictures. What kind of camera do you use? Can't wait to see you again soon.

These pictures are awesome! Looks like you had a great time down here. I haven't been able to truly enjoy the beach yet. Probably because I've only been once. Which beach were you guys at? Next time Jason comes, I think we need to go.

Your boys' little tummies are the cutest :) What a fun day at the beach. Calvin was workin' that boogie board, and I loved the picture of Noah sleeping, so sweet. Kids and the beach are so cute. I'm glad you didn't have a run in with that shark, yikes! And I too agree...you look great out there, Care!

Also, I love the new blog format. I was so entranced by the beach pics, I totally didn't notice until Val told me about it!

Fun! I love that Noah fell asleep on the boogie board. Sandy diapers are the best.

first of all, you know you are in trouble when Care is the tannest one in the family (no offense Carolee)
Secondly, that picture of the sandy diaper is quite amazing. I love the perspective, the implication, and the cropping. How do you do it B? I hate you naturally talented people!

oh, and Carolee, your arms look toned in that pic!

Oh, I miss the beach! Sandy diapers and all! Looks like you guys had a blast. And it's actually worse to have your subject in the center in photography! I'm sure RB can tell you all about the rule of thirds! Love ya!

Glad to see el segundo finally made the header.

RB, two words, weight room. No, just kidding. But seriously.

Wish I got to spend my whole life on vacation and playing operation; you'll be happy to know that my indentured servitude begins in less than two months.
